Great Moment with Skitch

A Perfect screen caputre and image sharing tool!

If you are a Mac user, you must know by now that pressing the key a few times is all that is required to capture an image of your entire desktop, a part of it or even an application window. But here is more you can do. Start using Skitch and your Mac’s ability to capture screenshots will be further enhanced. You will be able to capture a Web page, a chat moment, an application or an iSight image. You can even open an existing image from your iPhoto library, hard drive or Skitche history. The application is so versatile that it even allows you to sketch an idea.

All you need to do is to pull an image into Skitch and edit it like you do with most other image editors. Go ahead –  flip, resize, crop or rotate the image. You may want to do some fancy stuff and turn it into a real piece of art. Add circles, rectangles, lines, arrows, text or simple scribbling. Moreover, Skitch can smoothen hand-drawn lines automatically and even if drawing just isn’t your thing, the application will do the trick for you. Almost every aspect of the image can be moved, edited, resized and recoloured  -  giving it the look and feel that you desire.
To Download the application, point your browser to Click on ‘Get it Now’ and you will be immediately transported to the sign-up page. Type your name and e-mail ID, as well as a suitable screen name and a password. Now you can star downloading Skitch. Needless to say, your computer must have a Mac OS in order to use Skitch. As soon as the download is complete, you can start using it.
The menu-based system is quite easy to use; in fact, the website claims that anyone can become an expert at Skitch in less than three minutes. The Application also enables you to share screenshots in a matter of moments. All you have to do is to upload the image / s to or use your own FTP, SFTP, Flickr or .mac account and paste the link into any Web page, blog, forum or chat As to now, Skitch is in the Beta stage and it is free.  So make the best of it while it lasts and grab those jolly good moments.
